HCL Connections (formerly IBM Connections) is a social software solution tailored for business environments. It facilitates the creation of a network comprising colleagues and subject matter experts, allowing users to harness this network in pursuit of their business objectives. Within the platform, users can engage in idea discussions, collaborate on presentations or proposals, share files or photos, manage project tasks, and more. HCL Connections operates as a server product that can be integrated into the company's intranet or accessed through the IBM Connections Cloud. The HCL Connections mobile application provides employees with on-the-go access to the server from their iPhone, iPod Touch, and iPad, all while ensuring secure management by company administrators through server-side policies.

In order to connect to your company's Connections server, it is necessary to have a user ID, password, and the server's URL address. The application will prompt you for this information when required.
